Another new poster ed. lotsa talk about centre halfs, strikers and wingers but the most important thing we need to do in the next few weeks is find a quality keeper. A blind man can see the back 4 (or 3) have no faith in Gordon. We need someone that can command a box. That and someone who can actually boss the midfield will make a massive difference to us.

You'll get pretty much the same from me too, Viking. Who would you like to see? I think we could do a lot worse than see how much the likes of Vorm, Romero and Schmeichel are wanted by their clubs. Ideally there's the next FF we have our eye on somewhere though.

always impressed with worm jim, good solid keeper, schmeichel would be a dream signing imo, but no chance for me as we wouldn't spend the 10 mill plus to get him here, i would like marshall tbh, think there's a chance we could get him too.

First time poster long time supporter, pisses me off the time it takes to get players in these days! All players seem to hang off for better offers as do the clubs selling, you either want to play for us or not! If you are driven by cash then F off! If you come here as a stepping stone then please refer to the above! There is no loyalty in the game at all now days .
I also see in the DR that moyes turned down the chance to manage the hoops as he wants a bigger challenge! Thank fook for that!

Never been a fan of Gordon either and said so on his arrival. He never impressed me when we played against him and we should be looking at far better, younger guys.

Jim I think the likes of Vorm would not even consider us as he will be on a hefty wage at his current club and we've got more chance of getting Kaspers Dad to come to us.
I have a soft spot for keepers as that was my position but I think Gordon gets a bad press on here, yes he has let us down a few times and this has occurred in important games but the fact is he has saved us more than he has cost us. On Wednesday we could and probably should have been looking to make up a 2 goal deficit if it wasn't for Gordon and before people start stating that that is his job we all know a goalkeepers mistake usually leads to w goal or a sending off unlike other positions in the team (except Big Efe, who unlucky is that guy) . I would love to get Vorm, he was outstanding at Swansea and he does like BR. Hail Hail to all.
{Ed007's Note - Come on, TTT1, tell me one important game you have watched and said we'd have lost that if it wasn't for Gordon? Making a couple of good saves doesn't matter when he's already cost us a goal by deflecting the ball into the strikers path - again, flapping at a cross - again or simply being caught out of position - again.
I can't think of one occasion when Gordon has saved us in Europe, from Maribor to Inter to Astana last week he's made blunders. And we'll not even mention his horror shows at Hampden against Ross County and TRIFC.}

I and most of us here are not surprised that the D R reports that Moyles turned down Celtic . In fact bearing in mind that we have a difficult and important game tomorrow night it would a major surprise if that was the only negative story they post before the game . D R and truth do not have a good relationship.

Gordon is quite lucky, he has cost us many goals and many results but still hasn't to suffer abuse and booing from our so called fans . I hope he doesn't have to, as it reflects badly on the best fans in the world booing and shouting abuse at any player.

Am with TTT on that Ed, Nothing splits this board barring the Inter game he was probably our best performer in the EL IMO again best signing for me under RD matbe with the exception of big Eric
No way would have he got the deal he got mate had been that level of deal he got had he been that level of a liability he was up for awards first season and I don't buy into that being a sympathy thing having said this he is not performing at that same standard and as you are well aware I would like Fasan to get a chance y.

Gordon is decidedly average . My heart goes into my mouth every time the ball crosses in front of him . He makes most saves that you would expect him to make, I
Expect it might be diddicult to get much better within our price range . Most league are full of his standard of keeping, getting a Forster or a Boric isn't easy .
Maybe Fasan in time.
