I am happy with the performance and the result tonight I thought we played well in the midfield and up front, difficult to evaluate the defence as they had very little to do. I thought Broony was great tonight. for all those fans who continually ask for him to be axed it's going to be a long season typing after every game. He is the captain and BR is going to organise the team around him.

Browns level tonight. Same kinda opposition as east kilbride.

Guys, I sometimes feel that we are blinded by the decent thing to say in defence of Celtic. The issues are still there. Brown IS finished, if he ups his game then fair play but he has no intelligence as a Celtic captain. We need a quality and imposing central defender possibly two. A right back and an enforcer in the midfield. We also need another striker. Like many of you I've suffered the dark years before the burns and MON days. We are too small in stature, not enough captain material and a lot of youth but we need battle hardened strong characters and that costs money. Aside from the manager we have actually spent nothing. You need to build a team but the orcs are well ahead in terms of strengthening. Be under no illusion the current team is not capable of beating the orange brigade over 4 matches or Aberdeen for that matter and the same could be said of entry to the champions league. That's a fact. We have the manager and resource to make it happen. The young talent is promising but you need to add winning mentalities and enforcers on the pitch as that mob will be kicking and biting through the current squad. Not easy to offload players as you need a buying party but agree a few off the wage bill can create a carrot for the better players. If BR can transform 3 average current players I for one would be pleased as a bonus. We need 5 players to stay on top and be in the CL or we will open the door to Ibrox. Capabilities from a position of strength. We've noticeably slipped down the EUFA rankings but for championship money you could be securing the likes of Rosenberg, Legia etc best players and it would be a step up for them as a package. St justa would be a great signing and would also offer huge return value.

I'm concerned because we need new players, even if the current squad delivered a top performance it doesn't mask the fact that they are not good enough to get into the CL or beat sevco over 4 games or indeed Aberdeen.

This squad of players needs improving no doubt but it finished 15 points in front of Aberdeen last season why wouldn't it do the same this season. there are a lot. Of Celtic fans very anxious about what is happening over at Ibrox, I can't understand why they are signing a collection of has beens, free agents and second raters we will wipe the floor with them over three games and four if they make the top six. By the way typing in capitals does not strengthen an argument never the less Scott brown IS NOT finished, not anywhere near it.

We did what we should of done in the first leg bud. We had a spell, scored a few then stepped off. I enjoyed the win. To say there isn't enough to beat the rangers or Aberdeen and win 3 out of 4 then I don't think so. Point is and I'm sure it's one you will agree on is we should be able to do it with a bit more to get excited about, rather than just recording the wins. A few players showed some promise last year to move forward with and the last two signings look OK so far. 2 or 3 more would be a real advantage. If Europe is what we are targeting then imo we haven't moved quickly enough and it has slowed us down targeting players that could wait for a bigger wage that play down the road. Do our scouts not have passports?

I listened to the game on the radio tonight, so I have to rely on how the commentators percieved the game, according to them Armstrong had a good game, Roberts had a brilliant first half and the red imps goalie saved his team from a very heavy defeat., this goalie is 38,and I started thinking wasn't Ronnie Simpson the same age when he came back to Celtic, just a thought, maybe he do as a back up/
Replacement to zGordon, but my guestion to anyone that was at the match, in the midfield, was there enough creativity and inventiveness and guile, for in Europe that is what separates the teams with good/ lucky defence/ attackd, that was one of Ronnies biggest mistakes playing Johansen and Biton, instead of Armstrong and Allan, and this season Henderson is availabke as well, zI hope BR realised Scot Brown had been a great servant to the club, but age has caught up with him, and sadly he must be dropped.

It was what it was aindoh. I don't think we learned anything. We did the job that was expect first time round. To sum it up, we played well against a team that looked like an early draw of a domestic cup. BR was again stressing preseason preparation and to me that is what it felt like after the goals. Until we line up in the 2nd and hopefully 3rd round then we will get a better idea how players are responding. Early days but glad to go through.

After last week's debacle I was delighted to come through tonight and have the tie won in 30 mins . We were not perfect tonight but we dealt capably with what was in front of us . Just mentioning a few players . Lustig did very well, spun round and drove the ball home brilliantly, wasn't pressurised in defence but was alert enough to cover Erik on a couple of occasions . Brown played well, more like the player of a couple of years ago, leading and encouraging, played a few slack passes and a few unnecessary back passes but some delightful foreward passes both long and short . Wee Forrest started off brilliantly cutting g through defenders and getting crosses in . In fact I think he set an early tempo which the rest took up. He didn't seem to get fed with the ball as often from around 35 mins and faded out, maybe because Roberts was so brilliant on other wing . McGregor and Armstrong were very good . Our front two LG and M D missed a bagful but I think they could become a very lethal partnership with plenty of goals . I think we seen the basis of a good team tonight, with one or two in we could become very good and definitely worth watching .

Tasty, why are you so obsessed with what Rangers are doing? That's two posts I've seen now where you seem more concerned with them than anything else. They are signing out of contract players for no or very little fees. Yes it may be strengthening their team but to be fair that would not have been a difficult task. There is no doubting we need a few players in but we are talking a whole different market. We need quality players to take us forward, this costs a lot of money and cannot be rushed and made an arse of. Also we offer people deals and need to wait on answers before the deal gets done or we can move on to the next target. Mark my words, rangers are not a threat. By the time September comes we will be much stronger, fitter and getting used to the new managers way. I'd be more concerned about getting a winger and defender in before Astana than what that mob can do.

It won't be the Rangers signings or their existing players that will cause us the most worry . It will be the MSSM and the referees that will try to affect the confidence of players and supporters . The strange decisions which the MSSM will ignore could affect the players concentration, remember the referee over ruled the lines man in the last game between us and them, our players stupidly hesitated and they scored, wee moves by officials always seem in the one direction.
