DO NOT put any money on Andy Murray to win Wimbledon, he is the biggest BOTTLER out there.

Just a bit harsh there Tim! Remember he's had to play either federer or Djokovic in every grand slam final he's reached! Arguably the 2 best tennis players ever! Only when Andy retires will he get the credit he's due! 2 grand slam titles the Olympic champion and single handedly won the Davis cup! Hoping he humps federer on Sunday! In the current era of tennis stars i think he's done fantastic to reach 10 slam finals, at least the english wait til he's beaten b4 havin a go at him timalloy. Poor post mate. The lads a great athlete and should get all of our support.

If he never wins another slam he'll still be remembered as a great.

I go along g with Tim as when he plays the best he will hold his own for a bit then when he loses a big point his game falls apart . gives up? We've seen it with some of our own players over the years who when we are on top look world beaters but against top teams or under the cosh don't perform. of his era he is in the top 5 just can't handle the best and in particular djockovic who I think k he's lost the most titles too. fine lines at that level . is it mental . physical. or just his level is under theirs?

The reason for failure is not opinions but the fact we aren't good enough . Murray is a good player but to be beating in 8 finals by the same guy suggests he either bottles it can't handle it or just isn't good enough. he is equal 56 in all time slam winners alongside another 30 players. good yes world class no. and the fact we are discussing it on here affects his performance is utter pish.

DRB, the fact that he's won 2 finals and a Gold medal proves he is more than good enough. To be were he's at with the stars he has to play every tournament proves that. Djokovic, federer and nadal are monumentally good. The boy deserves praise for being in the mix. I hope he wins wimbledon again. Too happy to shoot our own down sometimes.

Bhampot. its not a case of not wanting him to win or shooting him down or anything like that . its a fact he folds against djockovic and yes he is one of the greats as is Federer who murray has lost 3 finals to. but coming second to them doesn't make you a great player . good but not great . the boy is still young enough to win more slams and get into that great level and I'd like to see him do it . Two slams and an Olympic is good but not in the greats yet.

He is the greatest tennis player Scotland has ever produced, probably the greatest Britain has (Fred Perry? )
His peers are probably the best tennis players the world has ever seen and andy is right there in the mix.
is he as good as the other three, for me no, but that doesn't take away from his status in my opinion.
