Does anyone else think Griffiths may struggle under Rodgers, at Liverpool he played sturridge, sterling and Suarez, with Suarez obviously his main goal threat. Suarez however is quite unselfish and worked well as a 3. Griffiths is a greedy player (why he scores goals so often) but as a 3 or even a 2 will Rodgers want someone who works more further.

I think Griffiths work rate is well suited to rodgers style, although you are right in saying he may need to be less selfish. However, he realised that the burden to score goals was almost left entirely to him last season and maybe felt he had to be selfish. As mentioned a few times, if we can get someone on the left who can do what Roberts has been doing (El Younoussi? ) then I'm sure we'll spread the goals amongst the front 3.

all depends what system as well, as said in previous posts u could name 4 or 5 systems BR has used, if its the 3 i still think griffiths will be the main striker, deserves it imo, glad he's knuckled down and concentrating on football,

Regardless of systems, LG needs to be a little more selfless. Though I can't argue with strikers trying to score, especially not with a return like his, his decision making needs to improve still to take him to the next level. I could see LG and PR playing off somebody, if we were to get a forward with better hold up play than LG. Ideally, we get another winger who can do what Roberts does AND a striker who could seriously get in agead of LG. But that just seems too sensible.

I think Griffiths added more to his game under RD and now has the confidence and experience to adapt to whatever system BR chooses game to game.
Especially if he brings in a couple of better players for him to link up with?

I would really like to see Griffiths playing with an experienced striker who he can play off. Someone clever (like a Sutton) who is more than a battering ram. I don't know who that could be. must be someone out there.

This is probably controversial but it wouldn't bother me if we replaced lg. On the face of it it seems strange because of his goals scored last year but I really feel he still isn't a top forward. Against top opposition I just feel he is not top quality, sometimes you watch him and u know he's not going to score if he played all day . I'm presuming I'm not the only one who thinks this way as there is no interest from other clubs regarding a transfer when again if u look at how many he scored last year it seems strange. This is not really meant as a dig at him but I just think we could do better, I personally think hooper was a better forward recently.

Sutton is too old now and has nothing but hatred for Celtic, maybe Daryl Murphy when he comes back from the Euros would be a better fit.
