Tried my best to avoid it but now I've got my hopes up. Reckon Rodgers could be a great manager for us, bit of a weirdo at times but his teams attack well and I reckon he'd know how to sort that midfield into something tidy. Defensively he was shown up at Liverpool but not so much at Swansea. Keane wouldn't bother me eithet to be honest as he has also had time to learn. Can't say enough how much don't want Mackay, besides the football being turgid, I wouldn't want Celtic associated with his views. That said, experience tells us we could still end up with a whopping disappointment. PS Sports Direct website has been hilarious today, well played Mike :)

Just watched the Liverpool, Sevilla game, well the second half, thank you bt youtube, best team won, hate these partisan commentators who go out of their way to prove the ref is wrong, when if you watch it again you can see the ref was obviously right, but my point is this there are people who say we need a big, high profile megabucks manager so we can attract a big high profile megabucks player well, surprise, surprise I disagree we need a manager who can identify and sign players that are skillfull enough and have their heads in the right place to improve the team as a whole unit, henrik is a good example apart from everything else he was a team player, Lg is the same, we don't need big marguee signings, we need players that will work for the team and are good enough to improve the team but most of all we need a manager, who is more interested in improving the team than improving his standing in world football.

Davie bhoy. . his teams average is 1.2 goals against per game. for 1.6 a game.

Aindoh that eliminates your hero NL then.

I disagree with you addiction of Griffiths. In my opinion I would say he is a greedy self centred striker. When he wasn't in the team we had 7 scorers which we all know. And I'm aware my argument to back up my opinion is hypothetical but I would say if Griffiths was playing some of the goal scorers wouldn't have made the runs or been in the positions they were in because the pressure is on trying to get the ball to Griffiths. I don't think it's a coincidence that we had so many good performances with him out the team. With him it's a rigid system I. e always look for griff. I'm not saying he is a bad addition but I think think the team would be able to play like that more often if they weren't relying on him to get the goals. Maybe it's in the minds of the other players as well thinking that all I need to do is pick up the ball and give it to Griffiths. Another hypothetical one. If Tierney was moving into his goal scoring position as he did so well but Griff was screaming for it in the back post area would he have hit a hopeful effort with his bad (not that bad) foot from 15 yards or would he have shat it and squared to griff? Not criticising just pondering.

What was the crack with sports direct website today ed/ daviebhoy77.

{Ed007's Note - I've no idea.}

Pedro, no offence, but you are completely wrong, and DN, just because NL is your boogey man, doesn't mean the rest of us are similarly afflicted.

Sports Direct reduced all TRFC gear massively following bid to sever ties with them and coincidently lead their website title page with a promotion for CFC with the "A club like no other" branding. As for BR's. for and against record, I take it that is over all competitions with majority being EPL? As I said before with RD, who are the better options knocking our door down?

One of LG's biggest areas for improvement is being more selfless.

The Sports direct website story is a pile of pish 2bh. They had the same homepage last Friday promoting the new Hoops top, it was also at front of the store in both the Bishopbriggs retail park on Friday and the Forge retail park on Saturday. (I had to buy socks for wee mans school trip lol
Who knows maybe following their relegation on Wed night Sports Direct knew what was going to happen hence promoting Celtic top on homepage of their site and at the entrance in their stores.
But it certainly wasn't a reaction to them cancelling deal yesterday.

I agree with parts of the LG comments if we bring in another number 9 we could see him out wide more. Part of it I think was him going for record's and to get into the national team this year. No one else was good enough to take his jersey. Saying that i'd take him off free kick and pen duties next year, if he had a decent long throw and it was allowed I thing he would of muscled in on the shys to up his tally!
