If it was a manager in scotland right now that had to manage celtic who would everyones top 3 picks? For me it would have to be
1) derek mcinnes
2) paul hartley
3) alan stubbs)

{Ed007's Note - Ally McCoist, Kenny McDowall and Mark Warburton. Give some of the wee diddy managers a chance.}

Agree1 Disagree1

Don't kid yourself Ed007, Rangers have a decent manager at the moment. No personality but can get average players to play as a team. I am going to be optimistic and say that the board will bring in a decent name and provide more funds than usual.

{Ed007's Note - No they don't, they have a 53 year old failure that has been sacked from his first job in lower league football and has had one season in the Scottish 2nd Division. Warburton is older than John Hughes, 10 years older than Derek McInnes and 18 (EIGHTEEN) years older than Robbie Neilson.
So sacked from Brentford and a season in the Scottish lower leagues makes you a decent manager these days, you don't even need to have managed in the top league now to be lauded. All those clubs in England and not one single interest in taking the inexperienced Warburton on after he was sacked from Brentford.
Warburton has done nothing of any note and most likely never will, he built a myth around him at Brentford that the owner quickly seen through.
Our board don't need to provide more funds, they just need to spend the money more wisely, the league is already a formality while Future England Manager Mark Warburton will see a top 6 finish as a major success.
If Warburton is a decent manager tell me what he's done to make you think that.}

07 May 2016 12:56:38
It was I debate I was having with boys from work . I'd personally not be happy with this calibre of manager but with our board this could be it lol .

{Ed007's Note - Sorry mate I was using my phone and misread that as the next Scotland manager OOPS!! I wouldn't want any of those 3 you mentioned as CFC manager, none of them are up to the job and if fans are demanding CL football right away we'd be looking for a new manager before August is finished.}

07 May 2016 13:01:58
Why would you want mcinnes?

07 May 2016 13:06:02
McInnes has done a good job building a decent team on a shoestring budget. Hartley's teams always play good football. Stubbs, no thanks as Hibs haven't pushed on under him in the league, OK cup record though.

I'm surprised Robbie Neilson isn't being quoted if we are talking about managers in Scotland only. Took over a Hearts team who lost 3 of their high earners. He build a decent squad who walked the Championship against the much fancied Sevco last season and this season they have pushed on and will probably finish 3rd. He also comes across OK in interviews I have seen or read.

07 May 2016 13:34:37
If I had to? Peter Houston.

07 May 2016 15:04:25
I've been impressed with Jim McIntyre. Look at the job he's doing at Ross County.

07 May 2016 14:59:51
Sorry Edd07, he was not sacked at Brentford he refused to work under a director of football for the upcoming season, that's why he left. Prior to the announcement Brentford were in contention for promotion, the announcement that he would not continue as manager the following season de railed the promotion bid.

{Ed007's Note - No he was sacked, it's well known in England.

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/football-league/brentford-refuse-to-back-manager-mark-warburton-beyond-the-end-of-the-season-after-reports-linking-10035852.html

'Warburton, who is on a rolling 12-month contract, will not have his deal renewed at the end of the campaign.'

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/rangers-announce-mark-warburton-new-5883357

'However, they were told in February their contracts would not be renewed by owner Matt Benham'

http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11748/9719232/mark-warburton-will-leave-his-post-as-brentford-manager-at-the-end-of-the-season

'However, it was reported last week that Brentford were not planning to renew Warburton's rolling contract at the end of the season and, although the club issued a statement supporting the manager, it did not deny the reports.'

All the reports from that time say the same thing, Brentford not renewing his contract = sacked. That should cover that then eh?
So the owner telling them their contract wasn't being renewed was actually him refusing to work under a DOF? LMFAO, that's a belter.
I suppose Frank McParland put himself on gardening leave and that was nothing to do Brentford either.}

07 May 2016 15:43:14
If it was just out of Scottish football just now ill second thepoeticpatient Peter Houston waiting for the backlash now lol.

07 May 2016 16:11:28
His contract was not renewed as he refused to work under a director of football and a transfer commitee.

{Ed007's Note - The club announced months before that his contract wouldn't be renewed, that sounds like the club made that decision to me. The club didn't renew his contract - why can't you understand that?}

07 May 2016 16:33:52
I can't believe that anyone can be taken in by the hype surrounding Warburton. what's he actually done at TRIFC ? Won Scotlands 2nd tier with the 2nd biggest budget in Scotland. We won the Top tier with the same points accumulated and got pelters for it. This shows the massive gulf between the 2 clubs over a season and anyone that thinks TRIFC will be any threat next season is deluded

{Ed007's Note - It's the way the media portrays him, Stevie. He's TRIFC manager so he must be respected at all times. It will be interesting net year when him, and his club, play in a top level league for the first time. It's amazing how low a man will stoop when he's desperate and nobody will give him a job. Not many managers worth their salt would even entertain managing in the Scottish Second Division, especially English ones, look at the 92 clubs they have and not ONE single one of them were even slightly interested in him. Because I will guarantee you if at least one had he wouldn't be up here.
Listen to him talking, it's like listening to Big Tam that manages a kids team, he's clueless and even part-time managers were sussing him out in the Second Division.
If by some miracle he can take TRIFC to the top six it will be their biggest ever achievement. Did you see them saying Everton were in for him last week, most of their fans didn't know who he was and had never heard of him. There was as much chance as Warburton even being mentioned by Everton as there is of me running the London Marathon.

07 May 2016 17:24:16
Chris, we slipped under the radar thanks to the magic loaf! ;)

07 May 2016 17:56:19
Peter houston, robbie neilson and mcintyre are also good shouts to be fair.
I'm happy with my 3, I picked mcinnes as I feel he's done well in scottish football and has an eye for a player.

07 May 2016 18:17:13
Edd07 I will check into it more and reply honestly, however I'm still convinced you have it wrong. I'm not saying the guy is brilliant he is far from it, however Sevco schooled us for most of the match... Why was that? We have better players in every position, however the bread man worked out his tactics and it produced a win. All I was trying to point out was that in my opinion he is a decent manager who achieved his target for the season, do you think we have achieved our targets? Of course we have not! Ultimately loosing to Sevco has helped bring around change at Celtic, fingers crossed it will be for the better!

{Ed007's Note - Check what you want but don't waste your time replying back to me about anything. Take it up with Brentford owner Matt Benham who told Warburton and Weir in February that their contracts would not be renewed.
I'm far too intelligent to converse with anyone who uses the term 'the bread man' when talking about someone.}

07 May 2016 18:32:07
Everton ed that's nothing, I've heard some of their deluded support saying they are fearing England are going to come in for him after the Euro's

{Ed007's Note - If you call him Future England Manager Mark Warburton on the English sites you usually get some laugh. Half of them have never heard of him for a start.}

07 May 2016 19:57:48
Edd07, you are in no way too intelligent to speak to me or any other person on the planet. Before I start I would point out you have actioned this retort by your childish put down. I my friend am a very successful business owner that employs over 40 workers, I could buy and sell you any day of the week. Happy to compare bank accounts any time you like.

{Ed007's Note - What kind of pathetic piece of shit brings something like that into an argument on the internet over football. Just so you know though, the day I was born I had more money than you and your 40 workers will earn in your lifetimes. I could buy your house on one of my credit cards. It's tough at the top pal, but you'll never know that.
It's a pity your dad wasn't as much of a wanker as you, you'd have been better ending up in a tissue paper or dribbling down your mother's chin.}

07 May 2016 20:01:50
ED, on Kerrydale Street earlier, a few guys were saying that a Saturday Football Show said "Rodgers might be a good appointment" because "he fits the Mark Warburton mould". Help ma boab! :)

{Ed007's Note - A wee snivelling bald Harry Potter's house-gnome lookalike?}

07 May 2016 21:08:12
The only reason Marc Warburton, is thought by some to be a good Manager, is he told us so. Warburton hasn't demonstrated any skills on a long time basis to proof his worth . In Scotland he has played in front of the most loyal and faithful media that have even praised his farts .

07 May 2016 21:41:27
Yep thepoeticpatient thankfully we got away way it😂.

07 May 2016 22:02:02
Hunskelper a can't believe you just wrote that a nearly pissed maself there. Glad your not on here much you sound like a pure bellend.

{Ed007's Note - A complete degenrate waste of oxygen, Steph. I doubt he's one of us, he'll be sitting on a pish-stained couch his aunt gave him passing a bottle of Frosty Jack between him and his sister as they wait on her next punter turning up. Maybe his name is what he does to her between punters.
The balloon couldn't skelp sleep never mind a H*n.}

07 May 2016 22:46:44
Hunskelper your magic manager is a bawbag just like you! He is from a similar background to me he took a NINETY per cent pay cut to take up his post he did @ Watford!

In football terms he never lasts anywhere long and has only been a manager less than three years and only got the managers post @ Brentford as really a favour as his chairmen/ owner knew him from the city he was quickly found out by his stats mad chairmen

Ed, IMO people who are quick off the mark / talk money off the bat like this mug are usually wannabees who retort to utter choite and suffer badly from insignificant man syndrom who society I am pleased to report is quickly leaving behind (y)

{Ed007's Note - He's the lowest of the low mate, there's people on here who have lost their jobs, probably up to their eyes in debt to feed and clothe their family and we've got a tosser like that bragging about what he's got, or supposedly got.
I noticed he never offered anyone the chance to apply for a job or even mentioned what the business was - or even invite me to visit the company to verify his bull.}

07 May 2016 22:50:25
Ooft what a picture uve painted 😷.

{Ed007's Note - And not a pretty one -we've all seen those Channel 5 programmes set in Jaywick and the likes.}

07 May 2016 22:58:19
Haha hunskelper you just made yourself out to be a right twat . you could buy and sell ed! even if that was true does that make you right? If eds put down was childish what was yours?

07 May 2016 23:12:14
Hunskelper the epitome of a panty wetter

08 May 2016 00:20:59
Ed just knocked Hunskelper the **** out👊👊😂😂.

{Ed007's Note - I'm absolutely raging that anyone on one of our sites could stoop so low. I've had people message me oj here offering to help other posters a bit down on their luck, we've got an ex CFC employee who was made redundant by the club just before Christmas and then we've got a scumbag like this want to compare bank accounts to show off his money.}

08 May 2016 01:21:30
Nice takedown of that walloper Ed.

What I'd like to know is what the F is the Magic Hat song all about?
