I see DD has been named in the Panama tax papers. £1.3billion estimated worth.

Agree2 Disagree1

10 Apr 2016 19:53:25
Would be hypocritical of me to criticise somebody for not declaring/ trying to keep a bit more. Why should I when the very people who govern the rules are at it! I'd rather have a bit more of what I've earned rather than say, I dunno, fund unjust and illegal wars?

{Ed007's Note - It's nothing to do with CFC, all CFC's finances are in order and all our taxes are up to date.}

10 Apr 2016 20:09:31
Well exactly ed. Our house and my own house is in order. That's all I care about. We'll not see any of the few bob he's saved pumped into the team anyway that's for sure. Can you really rob our government? Are you actually stealing if it's from a thief? Just let them all get on with it and look after numero uno.

{Ed007's Note - How can a guy that has never been a British or UK citizen and a registered resident of Barbados owe our government money when he doesn't even have to pay Irish tax on non-Irish sourced income? It's nothing at all do to with CFC.}

10 Apr 2016 20:26:26
Misjudged that totally. (Egg on face) .

Good point.

{Ed007's Note - I wasn't having a pop at you lol It's not really news that DD has some questionable financial practises, what kind of guy with that money isn't?
The fact that there are politicians involved should be more worrying to us.}

10 Apr 2016 20:42:57
I know you weren't fella, i thought he had uk residence and with holdings in uk companies would be subject to yada yada aye it's definitely all over my head. Fell at the first hurdle really. Don't mind holding my hands up when i make a tit of myself.

Like the IFSC for example?

Well yeah the politician thing is a point I was trying to make though. We're supposed to be shocked that man has abused positions of 'power'?

Alright then smart arse what about Jackie Chan?

{Ed007's Note - I can't stick him! He should be flung in the pokey for his films alone.}

10 Apr 2016 20:48:20
I thought it was interesting seeing that name there. Certainly not having a pop but I am surprised msm are not having one. (would be nice if he would make a wee donation to help strengthen us for next season)
I also do not see any problem with tax avoidance (not evasion) . The Govt even encourages the practice having introduced ISA's.

{Ed007's Note - FFS don't start about ISAs or we'll have Jamie getting all radgied on us.}

10 Apr 2016 20:56:22
Ha! She does wear a thong well though.

{Ed007's Note - I heard Jamie's starting wearing them too. (fubar)

10 Apr 2016 21:25:18
I think everyone accepts that the rich will do what they can to avoid tax. It's when politicians do it that it sticks in the throat, when these people cut services for the disabled and hit them with a bedroom tax, and thousands are having to use food banks because their benefits have been cut, the sight of these hypocrites hiding their money away while telling us we're all in this together is just sickening.

10 Apr 2016 21:29:20
PMSFL Ed, I was going add a bit here before I even read the last bit am attached to A financial institution that "MANAGES" the REAL culprit who is now entering the fray today/ tonight "affairs"

Imagine being in charge of fiscal affairs never having worked for REAL a day in your life all because your family made wallpaper!

Ah well Ed least I was right about the G and SL one not managing to get the sevco "floated" on the index he was talking about! (Y)

{Ed007's Note - I have got no idea who/what you mean lol.}

10 Apr 2016 21:51:21
ROFL There a difference between an ISA and My "Isa"

Am an expert on both lol

But Ed you promised me a signed " Isa thong " weeks ago and a right few witnessed that in live chat! I don't mind you hangin on to it a wee while longer mate but send it before the weeks oot (y)

{Ed007's Note - I told the guy that collects the match-worn shirts but it's proving difficult.}

10 Apr 2016 22:07:44
Seriously Ed, You don't?

Surprised a man of your intellect does'nt no idea if this will get the old text deleted but am talking about the Chancellor!

He has a at least 6 MILLION POUND "hedgefund" attached to the fiscal institution St James's Place (not palace) that been in place for years mate

His family are famous historical wallpaper makers ( 2 GRAND! A ROLL! ) stuff

I never twigged you were talking about "Isa the thong" (y)

Even Osbourne's statement tonight was generic and guarded if they get round to ralking about hedgefunds he not be popular if he ever was lol.

{Ed007's Note - Oh right. I knew that rat would be in it up to his neck. Thank (swear) he never met my Mrs with those prices for wallpaper.}

The like of D D should be praised for the employment he gives to accountants and solicitors who find ways and means of investing money. Obviously I imagine these accountants and solicitors pay taxes on the money earned . In an ideal world we should have some say on what taxes our taxes are used for or more important on what they are not used for .
If I had D D money, I would be physically sick if I thought my taxes were going to help set start- up firms who create arms which are sold to Isis and other killing groups .

It is estimated that tax avoidance/ evasion costs the treasury over 100 billion each year.

This figure is absolutely shocking and what makes it more shocking is that some senior civil servants and politicians facilitate this theft.

We currently have some of the main people at HMRC showing big business how to avoid paying tax and receiving a hefty consultancy fee for doing so.

In addition most of our politicians are failing us by not shutting down tax havens. As things stand over half of the world's trade passes through tax havens. At present, if you look at the UK and its foreign territories, we are the largest tax haven in the world, even ahead of Switzerland.

Just remember that the recent leak is just the tip of the iceberg and that company in Panama, will be just one of many who help the rich and powerful avoid paying tax.

11 Apr 2016 12:34:26
Apparently David Cameron is going to freeze the treasury and transfer the assests into a company called 'the Westminster' and everything will be ok.
The governments died.
Naw we urnae.

11 Apr 2016 22:04:26
This will all die down and will be forgotten about . I cannot understand this rush Dave and other politician have to show their taxes paid . Surely that is meaningless, I know I would be more interested in seeing the tax they didn't pay, bur there are no plans to show that .
These tax evasion tax avoidance are really massive but our Governments no matter so called labour or Tory concentrate on benefit fraud . Ordinary decedent people will inform on a single mother who is maybe getting £25/ £40 per week . These informers think they are good people and can actually sleep at night .
But the Right Hon . can runaway with £1m and more off shore banking and everyone keeps quiet.
