I see Neil Lennon has left Bolton.

Agree0 Disagree1

Lennon will get the celtic job in the summer.

15 Mar 2016 23:40:11
I don't think Lennon has any chance of a job at Celtic as long as Lawell is in charge.

16 Mar 2016 08:28:08
Agree with Johonny as I reckon something happened behind the scenes that we are not aware of, which led to Lennon's departure.

My uncle knew a guy in media.
Not a sports writer but a quite nice guy. Celtic fans tae.
He said the story going round was that Lennon and lawwel had a major fall out. Then Lennon tried to go over lawwels head to DD and DD backed lawwel.

It doesn't matter who is in charge, the problem is Peter Lawwell. I know first hand he is meddling in team selections, forcing Deila to play certain players (Johansen) to boost resale value. I also know Joe Ledley never wanted to leave, he only wanted to sign a year extension but Lawwell was trying to force 2 year extension.

This old saying "celtic do business behind closed doors" is an elaborate scam to keep what the real issues are, away from us the supporters so we don't kick up $hit and they can effectively gag anyone who knows their dirty secrets.

'Forcing Delia to play certain players', that must be the most humiliating thing I've read about Ronnie as a manager, he would go down further in my estimation if it were true, but I think its just another example of people willing to grasp at anything to give Ronnie an excuse for another errant team selection.

16 Mar 2016 12:38:03
aindoh where did i defend Deilas tactics in above statement? Suggest you read before you reply.

Its well known there is meddling going on regards which players are selected. I posted months ago and I personally heard direct from one of the players, my uncle is friends with. Even ed001 or ed033 i think it was said same thing the other week!

So tell me and enlighten us all with your wisdom. As this is evidently factual and happening, how is that grasping at excuse to defend Deila?

16 Mar 2016 12:52:57
'if it were true '

I loved Lennon as a player and willed him to be successful as a manager but in all honesty he was similar to Ronnie in falling short in big games, a fantastic result and one of the best nights at Celtic Park v Barcelona does not cover for other failings, Braga, Ross County, etc.
I would prefer an experienced manager with a decent CV rather than Lennon again.
If what Ed 001,007 and DN say about Lawell selecting the teams then Ronnie really should get a grip. If my manager interfered in my work, my repuatation suffered as a result and i was made the scapegoat i would most definitely make a stand.

16 Mar 2016 14:03:23
'Forcing Deila to play certain players (Johansen) to boost resale value', how is playing an out of form, (carrying an injury? ) , player going to boost his resale value, its just not logical DN, what is logical is that Ronnie thinks that Johansen is a good player, and he plays him through a spell of bad form, because one of his faults is he is to loyal to certain players.

16 Mar 2016 14:36:04
Aindoh I don't need to justify to you, what i have heard direct from a player and what one of the other editors on this site have also heard directly from people at the club. Clearly you think the sun shines out lawwells hoop and are to blind to see the wood from the trees to understand all Lawwell cares about is making money. A player that is playing regularly has more value than one that is not playing so regularly, regardless of injury or not.

16 Mar 2016 15:15:35
So Deila tells the player this or is this just dressing room gossip from a disgruntled player, I am no fan of Lawell, but I think excuses are being made for Ronnie.

16 Mar 2016 15:34:17
Aindoh its not dressing room gossip from a disgruntled player. There is a lot of meddling going on behind scenes. Do you really think John Collins was Ronnies choice, nevermind did they even know each other?

Im not making excuses for Ronnies tactics or any other manager.

{Ed007's Note - To be fair though they have become friends and travel to watch games together, car share to training etc, even socialising. It still doesn't change the fact that JC was appointed without RD having any say or even input.}

16 Mar 2016 16:05:49
Ed007 For me, its Hearts happening all over again at our club. Romanov was notorious for his meddling and its as if nobody is allowed to pubically speak out against Lawwell and his antics for fear of consequences.

{Ed007's Note - I think we've a bit to go before it's as bad as it was at Hearts.}

First of all these rumours are pure hearsay and we believe the bits we want .
The bit about P L wanting Ledley to sign two years rather than one, if it is true, would be fine to my thinking as that is part of P L's job, length of contact .
PL insisting on R D picking Johanson is a strange rumour, as the rumour was a couple of months ago that Johanson was R D's pet and was picked because of that .

It would have been crazy if R D had started his career as Celtic manager without having someone with a knowledge of the Scottish game as his assistant or maybe another post . I think the fact it was Collins is annoying many Celtic fans more than him been appointed by Celtic.
