To say I'm angry is an understatement, I'm sick of every thing to do with Celtic, the club is a laughing stock rd picked that idiot effy a he is a liability so I put the blame squarely at rd s door, pl and Desmond will get ther answer the next home game, iv gave up the ghost the season is over for me ya I have no doubt we will get the league but I doubt the Scottish cup, we should be mauling the treble every year, the fact is ther is no ambition at the club.

Iv been feeling that way for while now englishbhoy. it hurts me badly. The 3 games prior to yesterdays shameful display almost got me believing it was starting to gel. But RD goes and proves that was just a small purple patch. I wish he would just walk. Its not going to end good either way. The clubs ambitions seem to be sinking fast.

{Ed007's Note - Who would people have picked instead of Amborse and Boyata? Simunovic was injured and Sviatchenko hadn't kicked a ball for us, if he had played and made an error RD would have been blamed for playing a player in a semi-final who had only been training with the squad a few days while trying to settle himself and his family into a new life in a new country - I doubt Sviatchenko was in the right frame of my mind to start. Putting any new signing into a cup final after only a couple of days of him joining the club would be a massive gamble and I would have thought it a risk not worth taking. Do you also blame RD for LG missing a penalty as well - after all it was RD that picked him?
You can't blame any manager, whether it's RD, Mourinho or Guardiola or the manager of your local youth team for a players giving away a penalty, a dubious red card (I still don't think Ambrose stopped a goal scoring opportunity) or a player missing a penalty. I can remember loads of these incidents over the years that didn't result in supporters calling for the manager's head.
If Ambrose has stayed on the park, even with RC getting a penalty I would have been 100% confident that we would have went on to win the game, the red card changed the whole game.}

Ed if the boys good enough he starts. We all know Ambrose has that in him so why take the chance if we've got someone else there. Come on man that was Ross county, hardly a top team. Anybody can miss a penalty so a wouldn't blame Griffiths, he's earned a bit of leeway in ma book. Wednesday nite is ronnies biggest game his coats on a shakey peg it's got to be.

{Ed007's Note - He might be good enough but how do you know he was fit enough and in the right frame of mind to play? The only reason he was on the bench was because there was nobody else. Games are always harder to win when it's 10 v 11.}

I agree with you ed to a certain extent. Efe has played well lately and I had no problem with him starting. Yes he made a mistake and it changed the game but you have to questions the substitutions RD made afterwards. Mcgregor was looking lively before he was subbed, Armstrong again had a nightmare, johansen has not played well all season. We were chasing the game and needed goals but he didn't bring on another striker, just made like for like changes. Now I'm a fan of Deila and yesterday he wasn't helped by the team, but if I can see what needs changed then so should he.

{Ed007's Note - We were getting picked off with counter attacks most of the game, bringing on another striker would have exposed us even more. If you noticed RD made the substitution as soon as Ambrose was off, he knew that he was leaving CG exposed if he hadn't.}

That's the thing Ed we can't blame RD for the individual incidents and he only had Ambrose and boyata fit, but he is culpable for how he has shaped the team. After such a good start we should have been able to control the game and get a stranglehold on county. What happened was that Biton and Johansen couldn't dominate the ball and we let them find their way back in. They had two good chances before the penalty. Again we were wide open. It's a sad day when we have to bring on a half fit broody because the others can't compete. Armstrong played out of position again, Johanssen missing again and no ability to come up with an idea to get us out of a hole. This was another example of his continual failings. I just can't see him turning this around. I have no hesitation in saying I want celtic to be in the champions league next season and compete against the top teams, I am not worried about the qualifiers at the moment as I am more worried about not winning the league. I just hope we can have a positive result on Wednesday.

{Ed007's Note - I can't take anyone who thinks there's any doubts about us winning the league seriously.}

Hi Ed

Just seen your post about Richards I couldn't agree more, I despair about what is happening to our club.

{Ed007's Note - He's the type of player you used to expect to roll up at Ibrox - this is our El Hadji Diouf moment.}

The problem is that we all know efe will make a mistake every match its just not certain how bad that mistake will cost us. On Sunday in real time without replays I thought you idiot efe so I don't blame the decision to send him off. I would never play efe as he is an accident waiting to happen but Ronny trusts him so he is ultimately responsible. I would rather have seen Erik start as if your good for the bench then why not to start? Or similarly eoghan O'Connell who has been on the bench recently. I'm also certain that if simunovic had been fit Ronny would still have played efe. There are far too many repeat mistakes happening not to blame the manager he's either not educating them properly or their not listening to him either way the manager is responsible if he keeps putting them on the park.

{Ed007's Note - Instead of looking at the defeat for any reasons to blame the manager look at the decisions he had to make and what actually happened during the game. Eoghan O'Connell is working his way back to fitness after a near 5 month injury lay off, the only reason Sviatchenko was on the bench is because there was no one else, he's not up to scratch fitness or match sharpness wise and had never played with any his team mates. RD was probably hoping naming him was just getting him used to being in the dug out and seeing how things work at the club during matches and probably hoping to let him soak in the atmosphere if we had won.
Do you blame RD for wrongly sending off Amborse? There is no way he denied the RC player a goal scoring opportunity, a penalty yes but it was never a red card? Surely Lustig and Boyata(?) must shoulder the blame for putting Ambrose in that position.
RD also trusts LG and he missed a penalty and a crucial time, a penalty I'm convinced if he had scored we would have went on to win the tie, even if it had took extra time, that penalty would have knocked the stuffing out of RC. Why isn't RD getting pelters for picking LG?
Individual errors from our own players and the ref cost us yesterday's game. We missed Scott Brown badly in games like that and I thought Rogic on recent form was a big miss, we should have enough in the squad to beat RC though and we would have if it had remained 11 v 11.
You can't blame a manager for a player being red carded and another missing a penalty.}

Ed, a managers head is on the block the minute he joins a club. that's the way it is now right or wrong, its a results business to coin a cliche. And results and performances are just not good enough in my humble opinion. Fans are losing any faith they had in him, the board, the squad. Its all getting unhealthy and splitting the fans down the middle. A fresh approach is needed.

{Ed007's Note - You said it was a results business then say results and performances aren't good enough, which is it?}

01 Feb 2016 19:09:32
Both Ed. Results aren't good enough and neither have performances. I don't want to be rude Ed but its easy enough to understand.

{Ed007's Note - You contradicted yourself, if it's a results business then performances are irrelevant - look at Chelsea's CL winning performance. I just wanted to clarify what you meant as it can't only be one thing if you add other stipulations to it. It would have been a lot easier to understand if you hadn't contradicted yourself.
You're not being rude, it's not your fault that what you had written didn't make sense and I needed clarification.}

01 Feb 2016 19:14:53
Whether you take me seriously or not Ed our ridiculous performances in the league need to be taken seriously we escaped a humiliation by Motherwell, and were abject against Partick Thistle. After playing like that on Sunday I am very concerned about how we will perform on Wednesday. If our lead goes to three points then i would think your confidence misplaced. We won't win the league if we don't win games it's that simple.

Ed i love a bit of banter on here like most. But there seems to be a rise in Barrack Room Lawyers going over every single word typed and if the poster is somewhat struggling a wee bit to get there points across they get hit with a smug " i'm intellectually better than you attitude. Very very poor form mate.

{Ed007's Note - Aw diddums! Do you want a hug? If you aren't putting yourself across clearly people are entitled to ask. I could have gave you an answer and you'd have came back with that wasn't what you meant. How can I answer something when it's not clear what the question is.}

01 Feb 2016 21:05:01
My point was clear to most posters i'd imagine Ed. A wee bit of snobbery on your part took it down a wrong road. Il accept your hug as a gesture of goodwill and likewise an olive branch is held out for you. Anyhoo Colin Kahim Richards. Discuss lol😂.

{Ed007's Note - If I didn't understand what you said it hardly makes me a snob - it actually makes me pretty thick by your reckoning if most other posters got it. Then again I was never any good at 3-2-1 either with their cryptic messages.}

01 Feb 2016 21:42:42
Exactly my thoughts ED. It wasn't until LG missed the penalty that I thought this isn't going to go for us. I honestly don't know how a manager can be blamed for yesterday - and I include the selection of Ambrose in that.

01 Feb 2016 22:39:31
As soon as the pen was given with the red card, for me that was it. Iv no confidence in this squad or management. The Manager has the responsibility to pick a team he thinks should win, therefor he has to take his portion of blame too. The player is responsible for his own actions on the field. Both are responsible for the mess we find ourselves in. As far as i'm concerned what we have is no where near good enough. But its only my opinion.

01 Feb 2016 22:52:35
If what we have is nowhere near good enough, then how can you blame the manager for who he picks?

I have no doubts that had we scored the penalty, we'd have gone on to (at least) take it to extra time.

01 Feb 2016 23:51:29
Well that should cheer us all up then. You have no doubts we couldve got to extra time. May aswell stick another star above the badge bcoz we couldve won the big one in 1970. And RD should be placed on eternal immunity from the sack aswell. He obviously has no say in the team selection, subs and tactics. Pathetic defense of a pathetic manager posted by a patheticpatient.

02 Feb 2016 01:19:21
I can't take anyone who resorts to petty name calling seriously and if you are going to try to insult someone's name, at least be creative with it.

And FYI that's not actually what I said - but don't let that get in the way of your retort. You avoided my question, misrepresented my reply, and had a dig at both myself and RD - well done. I take it back - you were creative.
