Musnt grumble. Got to say iv been a much happier supporter over the last 3 games. If we can keep this run going then naturally a feelgood factor should return through out the club. i'm no RD fan, but credit to him and the team for recent run of games. Keep it up Bhoys.

Bigp they never will be. They are best ignored.

Have to say I'm not a Ronny fan but I'll give credit we're it's due as I'll criticise we're it's due to but tonight fantastic.

If league results don't fill their glass they use the European results to empty it when since Seville have we actually sustained consistent success a couple of last 16 qualifications and a few freakish results but this is a tool used by the Keith Jackson and Hugh keevins to run us down and try to make us feel we are missing the Govan mob since they died? English championship teams fling about 5-6-7 million pounds for players even more now and we are to compete in Europe on our budget. I know the moldes don't spend mega millions but they are just trying to do as we do buy small and turn into gems sometimes the gambles pay off.

Bigp, it's not a case of glasses being half full or half empty, but the fact is that we are having to buy small because we are not getting the Champions league money.
With not qualifying for the last 2 years, it's probably cost us around £30-40 million, that's an awful lot of money we're letting slip through our fingers, it's money that had we earned and spent wisely would have ensured that sevco would be trailing in our wake for years.
I don't think that we can compete in Europe on the pitch, but I would like us to earn what we can from it, so we can try and buy a slightly higher quality player, rather than the poor standard we have been getting, it also saves the coaching staff wasting a lot of time and effort on players who basically are not very good.
I thoroughly enjoyed the match last night, we are starting to play with a lot more belief in ourselves, I hope we can maintain these standards, especially in the cups.

{Ed007's Note - Do you really think if we had CL money there would have been more investment in the team because I don't? It's never happened before so why do people seem to think it'll happen now?}

I don't imagine that they would have spent large amounts of money, but I would like to think that the signings might have been a bit better than the likes of Cifti.

The amount of posts repeating the alleged lost of money for not Qualifying for the Champions League this season and last makes me wonder are most of our posters only following Celtic for last 10/ 15 years . Celtic's European history apart from the 60's& 70's but is really pity dismal
This past 15 years have been mixed but RD seems to have to have different standards than others . Let us reflect how he has performed after 5 years with Celtic .

20 Jan 2016 18:38:42
Old Bhoy who was the last manager to last 5 years at Celtic? Think you might find it was Big Jock? What makes you think RD will last 5 years?

20 Jan 2016 19:37:08
Chris, back in the 60's and 70's there wasn't the money in football that there is today, can you name any other way that Celtic can make any money without qualifying for the Champions league, we can't get the sort of TV money that clubs in other leagues get, and because our crowds are dropping off, we're not making much through the turnstiles.
When you say that Ronny has different standards to previous managers, what exactly do you mean?, Jock Stein made us famous worldwide by winning the European Cup, the style of football we played was admired everywhere, remember the standing ovation we got in Madrid, to try and link Ronny and jock in the same bracket is ridiculous.
I enjoyed the match last night, but keep things in perspective, we hammered a very poor team, it doesn't mean that Ronny should be mentioned in the same breath as the greatest manager who ever lived.

Why wouldn't R D be with us 5 years or more he is still very young as a manger.
