Well I said before game that 9/2 Molde looked a good bet, especially with "Dismal Delia's" defensive cock ups. One of my ex bear pal risked £200 ( he said "risk" was neglible") to win £900 his Christmas is all paid for thanks to "Rotten Ronnie"
I hate Delia for what he he has done to my club, he has made us a laughing stock in europe.
Yes I know Lawwel and Desmond have starved us of funds, but even an amateur manager could set the team up better than Delia. How many more excuses are going to have to listen from this clown in europe, our defence is a shambles a defence he supposedely coaches every day.
Ronnie GTF NOW.

Tell the truth, it was you that bet the £200.

06 Nov 2015 17:06:09
He says he just needs a bit more time to get it right.

06 Nov 2015 17:08:38
Bit harsh Tim and a bit surprised at you mate

In terms of signings he has been delivered some dross or no experience he can only shape what he was given

Having said that his remit / agenda was fitness and has never achieved even that!

PL took a punt IMO with RD an experiment even a gamble (no pun) and it is backfiring now big time!

He must shoulder some of this, his silence speaks volumes IMO and is MEEK

As a said to Ed earlier I cannot see RD now retrieving it now it's too far gone and players are not fighting for RD now for sure.

Any Celtic supporter betting against the team is lower than a snakes belly as far as I am concerned! Just saying like..

06 Nov 2015 17:42:45
Our results in Europe are very bad, after 24 European games Deila's record is similar to Lennon's which I agree is not good enough . However getting rid of him is probably not a good idea as we are very unlikely to get an experienced and successful European manager and given time Deila may well improve .
I think what surprises me for some reason we have a very small squad of players, the team nearly picked itself yesterday and apart fro Forrest, who has had good outings this season, but not last night we really had no game changing subs .

06 Nov 2015 17:50:39
Sacktheboard typical snide remark from you, no surprise there, but if you had read my original post I said I was avoiding betting on game altogether.

06 Nov 2015 19:13:41
Tim I never once mentioned you and to be clear my post was aimed at any Celtic fan betting against our team. I can not stress enough how out of order it would be for a true supporter to do that.. It's my opinion that a TRUE supporter would never do such a thing. End of!

SacktheBoard - Betting against your team.
1. If you are a betting person and you see an opportunity, you take it.
2. It also reflects on how some supporters feel about the current package being put on the park.
3. It is not disloyal it is merely a case of cashing in on something over which you have absolutely no control. Disloyalty is doing something which could harm the team you support. Celtic were not affected by any supporters betting against them and in most cases, anyone who did place that kind of bet would probably have been happy to lose it if it meant the team progressing.
4. Anyone winning their bet at least got something positive from the game as the supporters did not.

By the way, I am not a betting man and I have no idea how to place any kind of bet except for Grand National and even then I might as well just open the bookies door and chuck the money in.

06 Nov 2015 20:40:04
Utter rubbish Tiny, I think most people would agree that your post reflects more on your moral compass than it does that of a TRUE Celtic fan. We can debate all day but the thought of a so called Celtic supporter betting on their team to loose is shocking no matter how the team are performing. I'm all for changing the managers, sacking the board but not betting against your team. At the age of 39 I'm still like the young boy waiting to see the Celtic run out the tunnel that will never change. Neither will my stance on betting against the Celts. Hail Hail

All is not lost, people. Keep the faith! . RD's crafty - he's the man - European football after the new year. This is a good idea. our young players need to develop. Both the Board and Management need to do their bs tae! .

SacktheBoard,
I have followed Celtic through thick and thin since 1959 and my father and relations as well. My loyalty to the club cannot be questioned and as for my morals, if you knew me you would not question those either. But you don't know me, and you are entitled to your opinion as is anyone else and I will always respect that.
I do not criticise anyone betting against the club as it is their right to do so. If it buys a few extra Christmas pressies or pays off a leccie bill- even better.
The current product being put on the park upsets me but as much as I have thought about not going to see it, I always end up convincing myself that it will come good. (eventually) . Celtic have given me some great times and broke my heart as well but I go back for more.
I personally would not bet against Celtic (if I knew how) but I am ok with anyone who does. End of the day, its a game of football and the sun will rise the next morning regardless of the result.
Anyway, time to move on and get back to winning the league and have another go. Hail Hail.

@Timalloy aye and i suppose the likes of Owen Coyle will do better? Cause that's the standard of manager we are going to end up with if Deila goes. If Lennon was still in charge it would be a different story from you.

07 Nov 2015 00:35:19
Exactly Dn30 . You have hit the nail on the head , we are lucky we have a young modern manager who hopefully given time will get us results in Europe to match domestic results .
If we get rid of Deila it's more than likely that we get the same old, same old four four two managers with no European or else no SPL experience .
Will we likely to be any better off? I doubt it .

07 Nov 2015 01:00:01
Yeah that's the thing, what do you do?, if you know your teams playing rubbish, and your manager does'nt seem to be able to change it or motivate the players, yeah what do you do?, go to the game and watch them losing two - one, boo them?, leave early?, come on here and critiscise Ronny or the board?, or stick a bet on Molde at 9-2,because you have a gut feeling that it might be a winning bet?, I seen the bet, I thought about it, but I came to the conclusion, there is no way that Celtic can be that bad again, I put a bet on Celtic to win 3-1,I congratulate anyone that had more sense than me because Celtic were that bad again.

07 Nov 2015 01:08:31
Old Bhoy show me some evidence that RD will deliver in Europe. You just making statements that he will come good holds no value. When we went out of CL in 2014 he said judge me in a years time. So here we are. There are no signs of progress the club are losing millions through no CL football and you say give him more time? Why.

{Ed007's Note - Do you think we'd have done better in Europe this year with a defence of Lustig - Denayer -VVD - Izaguirre/Tierney?}

07 Nov 2015 03:31:59
Well call me what you like but I had £10 double on Molde win and get first goal. Nice wee earner and as mentioned previously, the cash helps soften the blow from the defeat on Thursday.

With regards to Deila, I actually like him and would like him to be given more time. Just wanted to make a few points about him though.

1. He has got the players a lot fitter despite what Petrov says. What we need to remember is he has the players playing a much higher intensity game and they do a lot of running, even the defenders. In addition we played a lot of games in a short period of time. That being said I think Deila needs to realise that it is not always possible to play at that intensity and especially not for 90 minutes and in Europe. Doing so gets you punished as we can't keep possession like Barcelona and often get punished when our attack breaks down due to a bad pass and we get caught out of position.

2. Deila does need to learn to adapt more than he does at present. I can't understand why he thinks it makes sense to have both your full backs bombing forward at the same time and leaving your centre backs exposed. Sure we get away with it most times in the SPL but far too often we get punished in Europe.

I've looked at few posts on here and it just tells me how far our standards have fell as a club! Fans betting against us! It softens the blow of a defeat! Dear oh dear! And this Ronnie has got us fitter as a team for me is one load of garbage! And it's not just Stan that's said this! How many times have we fell away in games this season? I remember teams in the Lennon strachan and MON era popping up with vital goals in dying minutes of games! Pushing teams back in the last ten min of games! And I'm talking quality teams here! Molde the other nite were fitter stronger and hungrier in every department! And the same goes for when we played in Norway! And old bhoy we're lucky to have young modern manager who hasn't won a EL game in the last 8 or 9 attempts! And given time! He's had 3 chances at the CL! He's played 12 games in the EL and Won 2! And we struggled winning them home to Zagreb and Astra! LUCKY! Away and gies peace! Utter pish once again! Will yous have the same opinion of us being lucky to have him when we finish bottom of the group with no wins! Wake up and see what's in front u! The guys way out his depth! But it's ok because we'll Nick a win in Dingwall on Sunday and everything will be ok again won't it!

07 Nov 2015 09:52:57
Honestly guys some of you are a disgrace for betting against Celtic. It's acceptable to do so as you win a few quid??? I would rather work 7 days a week than make such a bet.

07 Nov 2015 12:12:59
I'm just wondering what I am going to do with my winnings.

07 Nov 2015 12:58:22
What's disgraceful about it Sack The Board? If you think Celtic will lose a game then why not put money on it? It doesn't mean you want them to lose.

07 Nov 2015 13:26:32
Whatever helps soften the blow rab Mac! Honest to god I've heard it all! Totally agree with sack the board! No real Celtic fan should bet against the team! Would rather be skint than win money off us getting beat! Find it really strange u would sit there and watch the game knowing Uve bet against us!
