Three points but that was abysmal.Ronnys fist pumping is getting embarrassing after performances like that

Agree3 Disagree5

We have played games this season where we have played much better and not won (and people like yourself would moan). I'm happy with the fact we played poorly and won. Something we don't do so often. How about you enjoy your Sunday knowing we're almost back on top and have won against a team who are unbeaten in 7 at home. Go on. try to be happy about a win. You might like the feeling. I bet that's why Ronny was roaring too, he knows its a good thing to play poorly and create was than usual but get a win!

04 Oct 2015 15:39:51
C'mon stevie. There's nothing wrong with celebrating a win. The guy can't do anything right with some people can he.

04 Oct 2015 15:44:25
Yes we played poorly and won and admittedly it's better than playing poorly and not winning , the two words that keep getting repeated here are playing poorly. Its people like you who have accepted us playing poorly week in week out. This type of performance is the norm for our club nowadays and if you're happy with that god help us.

04 Oct 2015 15:52:23
My point is leave the fist pumping to when we beat a worthy opponent or qualify for CL

04 Oct 2015 16:16:09
If we shouldn't bother about celebrating a win against a poor team, then perhaps it's people like you who would accept a draw. Obviously some people just like moaning.

04 Oct 2015 16:22:58
Boys I am not a Ronnie fan at all, however I will take the points either in SPL or in Europe all day long. We need to get back to consistently winning matches. Not 3 wins then a draw then 2 more wins and a defeat etc. let's get back to winning week in week out then maybe the performances will come as the belief grows. I really hope so because apart from the points there is not much else to hold onto but glad we at least won!

04 Oct 2015 17:04:27
Don't know about anyone else but I was fist pumping after the game 3 points all that matters imo

04 Oct 2015 18:11:50
it was not our finest performance by a long way but a win is a win RDs fist pumping is what the fans look for at the end of any game we win noting wrong with keeping in touch with the fans If any one dose not like it they could leave right at the end before he dose it

04 Oct 2015 18:16:49
Na I've got to agree with Stevie here! 3 points against Hamilton is a minimum! And running about fist pumping after scraping by them with what for me was a poor performance doesn't sit well with me! Stevies spot on for me! Let's celebrate when we actually manage to win a game of significance! I look back on ronnies time with us and for me there isn't a game of signifacance that we've won! Yes there's been the odd good performance but we've yet to win a game that really means something! And I include sevco in that! Legia Maribor Malmo Are the 3 biggest games of his time here and we've failed in every one of them! So Ronnie should save his celebrations for a game that actually warrants a celebration! All he's doing is playing up to the fans! I know this sounds like a bit of a moan for nothing but just how I feel! We're Celtic, and if running about after scraping by the accies is what Ronnie thinks the fans want to see then I worry for the guy!

04 Oct 2015 18:54:01
Hows about you just celebrate when you like, and leave others do do so when they feel like it then? Killjoy much? The bhoys in the away end looked happy enough and RD just wanted to be part of it. Some of the stabs really are just getting a wee bit pathetic. He was criticised midweek for playing a certain individual, drops him. But now the guy can't celebrate when he wants ffs.

04 Oct 2015 18:54:28
How about we look at how the other teams did that played thursday night? Spurs drew today. Liverpool drew today. Ajax beaten. Dortmund beaten. Monaco drew and lazio currently winning. Fiorentina still to play. Performance not vintage but 3 points is 3 points

04 Oct 2015 19:19:12
I pity Deila , he has to become a robot and not demonstrate any emotions . Every game is important and every win should be celebrated . When our away fans ignore him Ronnie will know then to stop fist pumping. Or should the forums decide .

04 Oct 2015 19:30:20
Jim Tim hows about I can say what I want and so can you! How would that be? I'm making the point that maybe he should leave the celebrating til he actually wins a game of any magnitude! Not jumping about after scraping by Hamilton! Yes the 3 points were welcome but the performance was garbage! Nothing to do with being a kill joy pal! It's to do with not settling for mediocrity! Get the 3 points and move on to the next game! Yes if it's worth celebrating then do it! But for me that means winning a meaningful game in Europe or beating a decent sevco side! There's a reason he hasn't done it in Europe mate! Because he ain't won one of any note! So like I said u let other people air there views and u stick to worrying about urs!

04 Oct 2015 20:19:55
That's absolutely fine. The 'I'm entitled to my opinion' line goes without saying. If RD can't celebrate after a game without criticism then god help him.

04 Oct 2015 20:38:15
Most of the ones on here that enjoy ronnys fist pump were the ones that would have lynched NL for daring to be passionate. For being celtic minded, even thou he was a decent manager.

04 Oct 2015 20:41:44
Celtic minded though? Please explain what exactly being celtic minded is TTTS because I keep hearing and seeing it yet for the life of me do not know what on earth it is.

04 Oct 2015 22:01:21
Jim Tim being Celtic minded is realising the size of our club and worldwide fan base ,understanding that no team on earth should come to Celtic Park expecting to win. Being Celtic minded doesn't involve patronising our fans with fist pumps after beating Hamilton Accies

04 Oct 2015 22:31:57
I would say it was quite a significant result considering the fact Aberdeen lost yesterday and we won a tricky away tie.
Christ, imagine we lost today. lighten up

04 Oct 2015 23:04:05
Why should any Celtic fan be bothered what Aberdeen do? The only reason for that is we have been dragged down to that level by accepting mediocrity. I would go as far as to say any Celtic fan could pick a team week in week out and win the SPL

04 Oct 2015 23:15:35
But Ronny's fist pumping is'nt just celebratory,it's an ego thing to get a reaction from the fans ,not so much to show how good the team is but how good a manager he is.

05 Oct 2015 00:57:28
Would have to disagree aindoh.dont think its an ego thing with Ronnie at all.as I've said before he seems like a really good guy who genuinely wants to do well! I feel the whole fist pumping thing is his way of tryin to connect with the fans! Which I have no problem with at all! But there's a time and a place for these things! And after scraping by accies ain't it! To me it just looks silly and a sign of somebody feeling the heat and thinkin if he plays up to the fans they'll cut him some slack! I'd like to see him just win these games and move on! Leave the celebrating for the big games! And if I was him and his back room staff I would save all my energy for trying to fix that shambles of a defence! Boyata Blackett and ambrose! Now there's 3 defenders, and I use that term loosely! Who any striker would fancy playing against! I cannot believe boyata and Blackett have actually been in the 2 Manchester clubs 1st teams! For me Ronnie needs decent coaches in beside him if he's going to make a go of this job! Because Collins and Kennedy just won't cut! Especially Kennedy.just doesn't sit right with me the influence he's got on the team! And the performance of the defence,if he's organising them must set off alarm bells! Sorry for the rant lol!

I would feel sorry for Deila if what some fans post is typical of how our fans feels .
Deila delights our travelling fans by going over to them fist thumping . It might annoy some of the home fans watching on TV ( those at match have either gone home or are concentrating on exits ) and it also seems to annoy some Celtic supporters who were watching on TV also .
Our away fans love it and it sends them off even happier . Didn't Jock Stein say football was nothing without fans . I don't think he meant fans listening on radio or watching on TV or laptops . Our supporters at the match won't be long in letting Deila know when to stop it .

06 Oct 2015 08:59:02
Old bhoy once again one load of garbage spouted! So when jock stein was talking about the fans is was only the ones who go to a game! Utter pish as usual! Some fans have other comitments and may no be able to afford tickets! Does that mean theyr less of a fan or there opinion doesn't count! U really do talk garbage pal!

13 Oct 2015 21:31:51
I think that the fans Jock Stein were referring to were the fans that paid their money and attended Celtic matches as often as possible . Without these fans Celtic wouldn't have near the income they currently enjoy . Deilia also recognises the value of the fans to the club and these fans seem to enjoy him , so I think it's right that Deilia has a way to interact with them .
