This EPL really is a shameful organisation .No league in the world can match the money thrown at it, but the standard is mediocre at best. The results of English clubs in the CL for the last 2 or 3 seasons are pitiful.Teams full of players on £100,000 plus a week losing to Greek, Portuguese and Swiss clubs who's whole teams wage won't be anywhere near that. If only they realised their glitzy Sly Sports production of the EPL is destroying the standard of their game.

Teams whose whole teams wage won't be anywhere near that? I agree with your point but if you're trying to suggest that teams like Olympiakos and Porto aren't paying bumper wages then you're sorely mistaken.

Kevbhoy I think you would be surprised at the wages of the clubs you mention infact Celtic possibly had as high a wage bill up until the last couple of seasons as Olympiakos and Porto

The Premier League in England is well overrated. It's exciting to watch, but there is a lot of very average players. Also I think the panelists, and watching/listening to the managers is sometimes better than the games. Looking at the Burnley team from last year, that nearly stayed up, I think the only players I would have taken out their whole squad, even on free transfers would have been Ings, Heaton, Trippier and maybe Shackell. Even look at the Norwich team, West Brom, Stoke etc, they have a few good players, and the rest are average for me. You also have Brighton and Middlesbrough running away with the Championship, - who would you want from their teams, not many, Kayal? He's a hero down there already!

Kayal is a better player than Biton or johannson. Sound judgment from our manager again.

You can be the best player in the world, if you're never fit then what's the point. His contract was going to expire also a few months later, Lawwell made it clear he wasn't getting a new one, so took a small fee. How is that Ronny's fault? He hardly played for the year and a half before Lennon left. For all those reasons, and possibly more, only Brighton wanted him. So for you to come out now, after the first injury free period he has had in years, and with the benefit of hindsight is pretty pathetic! If it was the Kayal of 4 years ago I would have agreed with you, anyway I quite like Biton and if he keeps improving, gets a little stronger, more dynamic, he could be very very good!
