Who would people rather see up front for Scotland Griffiths or Rhodes? Hopefully both get a game rather than playing Fletcher who offers no goal threat at all. Griffiths runs his arse off where as a lot of people say Rhodes thrives on balls in the box, Think both would suit playing up front together

I actually think Rhodes with Ross McCormack playing off him. The thing is, some of the greatest players never did it at international level, so I don't think it's as simple as saying they are both doing well in England and worth about £25 million between them. He obviously wants 1up, so it will be Fletcher or Martin simply because they are better with their back to goal, and bringing the 3 behind into play! I think that's what Ronny wants for us! People keep raving away about us playing 1 up, but if you have the proper striker you are really playing 4 up, or at least 4 out and out attacking players! We don't even have 2 that can be trusted to play up front, I think it was Aindoh saying it, - it's not about the system, you need the players before you can do anything!

I'm on the same page Delphic. It is like having four attackers. And yes, you need that player capable of muscling in and keeping hold of the ball. You also need the '3' to be goalscorers and natural wide players. We seem to be lacking. RD has stuck to the system he believes in despite not having the appropriate players nor the level of quality. It's my favourite system. It provides the best distribution across a park and with in game changes it's an easy platform to switch to a 433 if needed or a flat 451, which seemed to be working well up until a point against Ajax. There have been too many games where we have created enough chances to slaughter teams or just put a tie to bed but haven't. I think WGS is encountering the same problems with his '3' also. I just don't see enough quality in that dept.

Griffiths best goal scorer Scotland have . I prefer WGS not to play him so that he gets a wee rest .

Suppose it would depend what you mean by "best goalscorer". Plus I think it would be more about being able to win the ball and link up like Delphic was getting at. I'd prefer to see Rhodes for Scotland so yeah, that lessens the chances of LG picking up knocks or niggles or being on the wrong end of a 'Ganea'.

When I say I don't believe in playing one up front,it does'nt mean I don't believe in playing one up front,it means if Scotland or Celtic had someone like Ibramovitch,I would play one up front but Scotland or Celtic don't have have someone like him,but Ronnie and WGS have got their heads so far up this one up front ideal, they can't see the wood for the trees,its ridiculous that a natural penalty box predator like Rhodes or an on form all round finisher like Griffiths can't get into the Scotland team ,because Fletcher fits WGS's 'system' better,managers should use the best players available to them,and use a system that utilises those players to the best of their abilities,rather than play the players in positions that don't suit them,just so they play a certain system,was it Shankly that said 'football is a simple game',well it still is, and these idealalogues will find that out,I think it's too late for WGS,he so believes in a zonal defence, its embarrasing to listen to him defend it,when its obvious that it was zonal that was a problem,and the same for one up,but Ronnie is different,he is young,he can,hopefully learn from his mistakes,I think he should give Griffiths and Ciftci an extended run up front,get Allan into the midfield asap,play the new croatian,find his best partner and stick with him,and just manage the rest of the team

I think Griffiths has the pace and workrate to play in behind Rhodes or even as a winger.

I agree, It all depends on the opposition if its against diddy teams then why shouldn't we play Griffiths in behind Rhodes but away to Germany or so then maybe have a target man
