watching the game today , thoughts on Rogic am I looking at the best player at CP.
This Bhoy is starting to run the show. Pace / energy/ passing / goals/ what is not to like .

Agree the boys got talent and with a run of games he could become a regular! But watchn him last week against Aberdeen I feel he wants to much time on the ball and he was muscled off the ball a few times! But the talent is defo there.

Everything but pace . Really clever player mate I just don't think he's fast enough against better players to get away from them . Can't help but thinking he's the fans new paddy McCourt . Endless ability just not sure if the pace of a game will suit him . Tremendous against lesser players but when it comes to the better teams found wanting . He was poor last week against Aberdeen . I hope I'm wrong

He did have a quiet game at Pittodrie, but so did many others and I think he will gain in confidence and stamina, the more he plays. We have waited a long time to see his potential and he has looked good in a couple of games at Celtic Park; now he needs to produce it week in week out.

Agree he is fast becoming our best player why we are not looking at tying him down to a longer contract beggars belief he has just under 2 years left I am sure if he keeps on putting in this sort of performance we will lose him for next to nothing I know he has had his injury problems but hopefully that is all behind the bhoy
{Ed007's Note - Rogic needs to earn a new deal over the course of a season not just a couple of games. It would be risky offering him a long term deal with his injury record, what if he signed a new contract then his fitness breaks down again and we've got another Boerrigter on our hands? Remember his broken back had fully healed and he passed a thorough and rigorous medical when we signed him.}

I agree with you Ed to a certain extent but I don't think we should leave it until next Summer if he is still at that level that he is in now and still fit after Christmas I think then we should sit down with the bhoy and see if we can get a Deal done
{Ed007's Note - I don't think there's ever been any doubts about Rogic's ability it's more to do with his long term fitness and thankfully Rogic is ineligible for the Australian Olympic team next summer in Brazil as he's too old by about three weeks.}

tom rogic is slower than phil mickelson ……however his game intelligence is superb (something that is very difficult to coach)…
football intelligence is better than pace or strength or agility or stamina assuming you can find a reasonable level on all of the above noted traits

and neither did us any harm….if he could release the ball a little quicker and pick up space in little pockets to get the space and time he needs, then he could be very effective
i like him but still a long way to go before he becomes a nailed on starter and a valuable asset

Rogic may play better when the always busy non stop Johannson isn't in the team .
Playing with Commons possibly gives him more space and time . However Johannson is a very good asset against the better teams .
I am always a believer that Celtic suffers more than most with the International break with players returning from all over the place . Rogic possibly suffers the most playing with Australia . I notice Deila said they spent a long time discussing how best to reduce the Int . problem .

Old bhoy we have the finances to ensure decent squad depth to offset international absences or tiredness caused by over exposure to internationals

Paradisewon It's not only our first eleven that is decimated , but also many of our younger players who are all over the place at under age Internationals .
We also all know that if Deila makes whole changes and the team doesn't win , he will bear the blunt of fans anger.
The only way Deila can win in some people's eyes is to win every game and every game well.
No matter how good a manager we have , and no matter what finances we have , we won't win every game .
