I think we may see more variation in the formation we play this season. I like the 4-2-3-1 but in order for it to work the 2 wide attackers/wingers need to be bang at it for 90 minutes. Unfortunately, our wide players are probably our most inconsistent players with regards to GMS and Forrest, and to a lesser extent Armstrong. I think a 4-4-2 diamond would suit the players at our disposal and most importantly the ones in form. That way we could have Rogic/Commons at the tip of the diamond. I also think Griffiths would be even more prolific with someone beside him (Ciftci, Fletcher, mystery striker). Just a thought

Gms has got far to much flack, armstrong is playing out of position, everyone knows that reason we brought them in was because they link up brilliantly but how can they if armstrongs on wing instead of central

Wide players unless they are the very best will suffer from inconsistency. They have to take players on and beat them while our other players don't have that responsibility. Some times they will lose the ball and in some games that can happen more than not. Part of the problem is that there are not enough forwards to take advantage when our wingers do beat the full back. As for Armstrong we won't get the best out of him until he plays centrally and that won't happen while SJ is at the club
