Greenandwhiteknight . You are a knowledgeable football man, surely you recognise that there were at least three other Celtic players at fault as much as him .

To be honest , I thought all our players give of there best , many did stupid things , but at the end of a day when Deila fields a makeshift team , to have everyone doing their best is good .
We should be happy instead of nit picking .

Old bhoy listen mate agree every player makes mistakes that's only normal but ambrose has had his chance he is not good enough to play for us he's a constant goal start for any team wee play he might be the whipping bhoy but he gets it because he's not good enough. Are u telling me when u see his name on team sheet your not worried. If not you must be the only one. The sooner he leaves the sooner ill start getting good nights sleep again.

It's hard to counter some of the analysis posted about Ambrose, however, he wasn't totally to blame for Dundee Utd's goal today nor Kilmarnock's first goal the other week. I didn't hear Broony come in for too much stick on Wednesday night when it was his header that led to Malmo breaking away and scoring the first goal. Defending at the end of the day, especially in the modern era, is a collective effort.

Before folk get carried away about young Janko, there needs to be a realisation that his positional sense from a defence perspective is still lacking and would be a big gamble for a game of Tuesday's magnitude. Gary Parker, in fact, made the point before we signed him that he didn't see him as a right back for the same reason and was based on what he saw of him at Bolton last season. This may change in time but a team with a little savvy will exploit this to the max.

Chris Sutton made an interesting point in his commentary today in saying that he thought Ambrose could be a useful defender when he keeps it simple. Perhaps Ronnie needs to sit the guy down and spell this out to him.

Ambrose played very well at right back in the world cup, before that his Celtic career went downhill after Lennon had a moment of insanity and picked him to play in a champions leaque game just after stepping of the plane back from the African nations cup, after making an excellent start to his Celtic career his confidence in a Celtic jersey has never recovered from that game , its all NL's fault
