Had a look at the Malmö ff stats of the players looks like they score goals from everywhere there captain 2/3 goals per game . there new loan forward has scored 6 goals in 4 games and there 2 attacking midfielders Berget and his former team mate from Cardiff have 16 goals out of 29 games between them . If we don't sign a natural goal scorer we won't make it into the group stage we have one lad that can score for fun but he's not trusted in the big games he should be giving a chance . I think we need a big strong forward that has pace and can header the ball

There's no chance we'll sign anyone! Especially before the Malmo games! If it wasn't clear we need a goal scorer and bit of creativity after watch the 2 quarabag games then I'm afraid someones not doing there job properly! And I've said it before,if we go out before the group stages then it's one mans fault and that's Lawell! But I'll wait to see the 2 Malmo games before I make a proper judgement! Hopefully with a couple of league games under our belts we can get past the swedes!

Kenneth calm down, in RD I and We should trust. Can see Kris Commons coming on at Celtic Park and putting this game to bed in the first leg. We are in the Champions League Play off just be thankful we were in the Champions bit of the draw. Our team are better than Malmo and we will have a better idea of how to beat them. Hail Hail

we have a natural goal scorer in griffiths, it's weather Ronny decides to play him or not. I know managers I. The beginning stand by their transfers in, but the wee man has got to start the next qualifier, he scores goals for fun. I personally think if given enough game time, he will score 30+ goals this season

Lawwell doesn't miss any chances of scoring , nor is it his responsibility to create chances for the striker. I would like to think he isn't responsible for identifying either of the above type players . Neither you or I know if there has been any players capable of carrying out these qualities identified for Lawwell to buy within the
quidelines set by our board

Gies peace old bhoy! lawell holds the purse strings and we've spent bugger all since RD came in! A blind man can see we're struggling up front! And it's lawells job to provide the manager with adequate funds for players! Which he hasn't done! we've not gave our selves the best chance to qualify in the past 2 seasons now! And in my opinion if we fail to get past Malmo,which I hope we don't! Then lawells to blame! Simple as that!

Give yourself piece we are unbeaten this season , god knows what you will be like if we lose a game . That's the way oldco fans used to go on spend spend spend and if we don't win every game 5-0 it's the end of the world . We will beat malmo easily and if we don't for some reason then I for one will be there for the Europa league , you folk go on as if the champions league is the only competition worth playing in , its not it's a overrated competition we will never win and is rigged so only the super rich clubs can win it and become even richer .

Our centre half has scored more goals in Europe than all our strikers put together! And for us the champions league is the only competition worth playin in! The Europa league is distant 2nd compared to it! As is shown by the crowds when we're in it! So no I don't want to spend spend spend and win every game 5 nil! I just want Lawell and the board to stop short changing the fans!

Can I ask you when the where the vote took place to make you the spokesman for all the fans? My ballot paper must have got lost in the post . We will as a club remain self sustained and won't go into debt chasing 6 games in the champions league . If you can't get yourself up for league games or Europa league games then that is your problem no one else's, I AM personally up for every game we play be it a friendly, a league game or one of your overhyped cl games . There are plenty of teams who will overspent chasing unreachable targets and I'm sure they would be glad of your " support" , might even be one quite local to you if your from the Glasgow area .

RD was quoted as saying he would like to be allowed to spend IF we made it to the group stages. So if we don't improve the team now is that not just the board saying they are not confident we are good enough to make it? Just a thought.

Agree with the creativity and a big target man, Odegaard would be perfect for Europe for us and everyone's raving about Kramer but haven't seen him play if we get them 2 and Halstenburg punt Stokes and Boerigtter we've had a hell of a window

We have the players to do a job, but we do need a bit more from one or two who are under-performing at present and an improvement in front of goal for sure.
We have only conceded one goal as yet and that is a big improvement on last season and we will probably not add anyone before the tie - unless we shift one or two out the door; so we have a couple of league games to get sharpness and momentum

I am sorry it just isn't simply buying a recognised striker that is going to make us certain to qualify for the Champions League .
A certain Turkish team signed Van Persie , who would be regarded as one of the best strikers in England . That Turkish team is out of the Champions League.
I am not sure if it is solely down to strikers for lack of goals in Europe in the 3rd round of the Qualifliers . Celtic knew they didn't have to score yesterday to qualify.

Jimtim I would love us to more than anything else in the world , but it's not going to happen my dad seen us do it and swears it was the greatest day of his life ( not within earshot of my mother obviously 😊) but that was a different time and a different game , the cl is designed for the superrich teams and distributes the majority of the wealth to keep these teams super rich has a team from outside the big five countries even made the semi in the last 5 years? The last one I remember winning it was Porto and it has become even harder in the last 10 years . Can you tell me the last club to win it without a squad worth at least 100 million in the transfer market? It is a genuine question if anyone has an answer even the Porto team I mentioned brought in at least that amount in fees , and even if someone came along and gave us 200 million to spend we would still struggle to get real world class players to come to Scotland and that is what you need to win the cl nowadays. If we got a move to the epl well that is what they call a whole different story , but we won't win it playing in Scotland and in your heart of hearts you know this as well m8 .

If we aren't chasing the 6 games in the champions league games as a club then what's the point . I'd like to think we can look beyond that . Maybe unrealistic but why are we prepared to settle for less . We say we're a big club so if that's the case playing in the most elite competition we can should be a must . Fed up with people saying support your team whatever , I agree support your team but surely we are entitled to want the best . Deep down I know winning the champions league is out of our reach but why should I accept it??

Fab1 I agree one hundred per cent . We can hope and expect to have Champions League football beyond Christmas . From that on it gets really difficult . We might go to the next stage once or twice but as you say we need something to happen to the environment which we are playing our bread and butter football to give us any chance .

And get rid of the league bit, it is boring as hell and purely about money. If you had a straight knockout teams with less money would stand a better chance. I totally agree with what you said and I can tell you this If we were playing Dumbarton on one channel and barca - man u were on the other I would be watching us , it's sickening the fees and wages these teams pay , I'm not picking on them but but man u have spent 83 MILLION this summer according to sly and have only bought good to average players not a great one among them for all that money .

I know the English league is not the best (no matter what Sly say), but I watch that out of choice because that is where my team is. To be perfectly honest, I really do not enjoy European football at all, even when we won things, most of the games are dire. I personally do not give a rat's arse about Real Madrid or who they are playing, unless the team they are facing is one I like. Personally I think UEFA are missing the big picture though, the thing that makes sports so exciting is the possibility of the underdog picking up a result. What they are doing is making that chance lower and lessening the interest for most people. They should be looking at how it affected Scotland when the likes of Aberdeen etc dropped so far behind Celtic and Rangers they could no longer compete and the league struggled to the point that even the big two have suffered financially. That could easily happen to others if the dominance bores people in European competitions.}

See that's the problem but fab! Yeh we can't win it! And yeh it does my head in that these teams can throw 100s of millions! But I still want to be in with these clubs because that's where we have to be! To show that despite there millions that we can still give them a game and that no matter how many 100s of millions they spend that money can't buy the atmosphere of paradise on a CL nite! And for your we got beat by barca bayern and Manchester United I'll give u our wins against 2 of those 2 u mentioned! And Juve Milan Lyon Porto amongst others! These nites are the nites that's all the fans look forward to! Well nearly all lol! Who remembers the EL games last year? Fab, as much as I respect everybodies views, often yours, and I can't speak for everbody - I just can't help disagreeing.
You'd rather stick to competitions we'd win? By that then you'd rather we get ourselves into the Challenge Cup than the Champions League? I'll gladly take the skelpings we've got for the sake of the victories. I don't mind us getting beat either. I was more pleased after the game we drew with Inter than I was beating Barca and Man Utd. I'll stick my neck out though and say you're in a vast minority. Which our board shouldn't be catering for anyway. Can't believe our two main Eds aren't fussed on the CL either!
Fab, do you not find the SPFL a wee bit monotomous? Do you not enjoy the CL nights? I know where you and 001 are coming from with UEFA, like the bhoys in Udine - f*ck 'em - it's as corrupt and dodgy as many huge institutions. But there's still a great football contest on show. The best in the world, in my humble opinion.
And we are on track to getting there. Without spending millions. Without spending anything actually. But there is no reason we can't win it. And definitely no reason we can't compete. That is just such a saddening view. Aye, and it would upset a few on here, I'd bet against us winning it. This season anyway. I know guys , when I think of McDonalds goal v ac Milan , Sutton v juve , wanyama v baca , Nakamura v man u and my favourite hartson v Liverpool even typing this takes me all the way back to those nights and my heart swells with pride , I loved those nights as well and I get so angry that with every passing season uefa seems to move the goal posts futher back so it's harder and harder to get these games , your right in truth I think we could do more with the money we have perhaps spend a bit more but also spend it more wisely as well , it's not just the zombies going bust that makes me a bit trepidation about being solvent, I was their when the old board took us to the brink of oblivion and that terrified me to this day , my philosophy about football gained over the years is it's swings and roundabouts and no matter what you do or how much you spend if you are on a downward spiral you can't avoid it . Maybe I'm just naïve and we could be spending more , I don't know enough about business to say one way or another .
