So Ed, What kind of ban ( if any ) do you think Cifti will get from the beaks?
A think 4 games myself , Any one else thoughts?

ED007 as stated previously I do not want Ciftci anywhere near Celtic Park and has anyone questioned why Van Hoojidonk is representing him, our Pierre was another "maverick" (moody barsteward, who downed tools in some games) sadly this Ciftci is out of the same mould, if things not going his way he throws a strop, Lawwell is scraping the barrell signing this guy.

That's the bit I cannot get my head round Ed , If it is that long we are we buying him the now?
He won't be match fit till Oct/Nov with a ban like that and a much different purchase price wise in the January window

You know what Bhoys, Pierre could have been a Legend but he knows it was a big mistake to leave us and he has said he regretted it. I reckon he will get a 8 game ban with 4 suspended and in those 4 weeks he will learn the RD ways of how he will fit into our Team. We have got the players we need in early enough and with the possibility of more to come. Keep the Faith Bhoys and ED let's see what Ciftci brings before we pass judgement. Hail Hail

We've had the wait and see patter for the likes of Rasmussen, Bangura, Pukki, Balde and Miku, remember we signed Lassad Nouioui on a 2 year deal and were told to wait and see what he brings, so what's wrong with signing someone with a bit of pedigree?
I've seen enough of Ciftci to know he isn't good enough to play for CFC, he is no improvement on Griffiths and unless he is replacing Scepovic I don't see where he could fit into the squad unless we need a new penalty taker.
Personally I would have rather we just kept the money than sign players of Ciftci's quality, I really can't see how the signing strengthens us.}

ED, I can see your point but Ciftci was a handfull everytime he played against us and I was glad he was suspended for the Lge Cup Final. I think he gives us mor of a presence up front than LG and I think if we ever played 2 up front they would be well suited. With the right guidance I think Ciftci will do really well for us and of course he will get stuck in. I am a bit old school and want to see Celtic players fight for the jersey (like Broony) and I think he will certainly do that for us. Keep the Faith. Hail Hail

Playing CF with Dundee Utd is different from playing for Celtic Ed. I think he looks like a good footballer technically and would give us another option. And I'm certainly going to give him a chance before deciding if he's good enough. Leigh Griffiths has proved himself to the fans so why can't Ciftci
{Ed007's Note - When we were playing Dundee Utd you thought Ciftci was a handful technically a good footballer and CFC should sign him or is it only now you need to try and find something positive to say because let's face it, you can't use his goal-scoring record to support the signing so we'll just go back to blind loyalty and hope.

Well ED, going on what you said about Alfred Finnabogsson last year, its a good job we didn't sign him for the £6-7Million that you and others wanted us to pay because look what happend to Sociadad, left with a bad attitude, lazy, injury prone waster that cost them a fortune and delivered nothing (taken to the extremes I know)but just saying cash does not always buy you quality. I know Ciftci is not everyones cup of tea but he will still be a good addition. I would love Finnabogsson on loan this season and think we would have a good chance of getting him with Davie Moyes being there and Socidad looking to re-coup most of their money. Hail Hail

No Ed he's not a player I particularly want us to sign but I do think he's a good footballer. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and a chance to prove his worth. Has your opinion of Griffiths changed since we signed him?
{Ed007's Note - As a footballer yes but I still maintain the club should never have lowered it's own standards and signed him in the first place, once again at the weekend the club was splashed all over the front pages of the gutter press because of Leigh Griffiths.
Has your opinion on Bangura, Balde and Pukki changed since we signed them, what about Miku and Lassad, didn't we give all of them the benefit of the doubt?
Before we've even signed Ciftci he's up on charges for biting an opponent ffs - I can't wait to hear the excuses some fans will come up with for that.}

Yes my opinion of Balde, Banbury, pukki etc has changed because I was quite excited about what they could bring. But turns out they weren't good enough. Will Ciftci be? Who knows. But I'm certainly not going to knock him before he's even started!
I said to you a year ago I hope joining Celtic will help mature LG and appreciate the chance he's got and he's definitely heading in the right direction.
Would you sign Suarez if you had the chance?

I wouldn't sign Suarez, would you sign Josh Magennis? If you take away Ciftci's penalties he only scored one more goal than Magennis last season, if you take away Ciftci's penalties Denayer only scored one less goal than him.
I wonder how many of Ciftci's new supporters gave their Zombie mates pelters over El Hadji Diouf?}
